Circle BMW Welcomes Pete Squires as Client Advisor

Circle BMW, one of the region’s leading BMW dealerships, today announced that Peter Squires has joined the company’s sales team as a Client Advisor. In his new role, Squires, the founder of New Balance New Jersey Shore and an award-winning marathon runner, will cultivate relationships, educate customers and close deals.

“Pete has a wealth of knowledge and experience in sales and marketing that, combined with Circle BMW’s existing sales staff, will further strengthen our team’s collective expertise,” explained Circle BMW President, Tom DeFelice. “Through his participation and involvement in the running arena, Pete has established a loyal following and network,” added DeFelice.

In 2001, Squires co-founded New Balance Jersey Shore in Shrewsbury, N.J., a retail establishment specializing in running footwear, apparel and accessories. Earlier in his career, he was the president of Atlanta, Ga.-based Globemark Sports and Events Marketing from 1989 to 1996 and served as the director of Sports Marketing for Adidas from 1977 to 1989.

Always passionate about running, Squires was a high school, National Collegiate Athletic Association and U.S.A. all American and two-time Olympic qualifier.  Throughout the past thirty years, Squires traveled worldwide setting records and winning marathons. He is a three-time winner (1977, 1980 and 1981) of the Yonkers Marathon, 1979 winner of the Finland Marathon, 1977 winner of the Jersey Shore Marathon, 1984 Penn Relays Steeplechase Champion and former world record holder for running to the top of the Empire State Building.

Squires holds a B.S. from Manhattan College.
